Traveling to Mumbai
India has always been a vacation destination hotspot for vacationers and tourists alike. Taking a more in-depth look at India however, and one can see that Mumbai (previously known as Bombay) is one of the most popular Indian cities amongst visitors. Considering that India is on a peninsula, there is a variety of ways that one can actually travel to Mumbai.

The first, and probably the most obvious way, is by airplane. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is one of the busiest airports in India. Flying to Mumbai is main gateway that most tourists and visitors choose to utilize as it is usually quicker. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is also roughly 30 kilometers from the hustle and bustle of downtown Mumbai.

For others, traveling by boat is a unique, yet fun way to access the city of Mumbai. Naturally, travel by boat used to be the only way to travel, but in this modern world, traveling by boat is a bit outdated. However, for those who like to take cruise ships, many cruise lines have begun offering cruises to destinations all around India, including Mumbai.

Still another way to reach Mumbai is by train. While it may seem outdated as well, trains serve a huge purpose in India; connecting the South, East, and Northern parts of India. Boasting a similar name as the airport, one of the main train stations is Chattrapati Shavaji; however, there are quite a few train stations that allow access to Mumbai.

Lastly, you have the always popular method of travel by car. There are more than five highways that go into Mumbai that allow for travel by both car and bus.

No matter which way you look at it, Mumbai is a relatively easy city to gain entry too, whether by air, sea, or road.
