Things To Do in Mumbai
If there is one thing you can be sure of, it is that it is extremely difficult to travel to Mumbai and be bored. Mumbai is a huge, bustling metropolis on the west coast of India that stays busy and has, and always will be, a truly diverse city. There is something for everyone, no matter what your age, gender, ethnicity, nationality, denomination, and well, you get the point. Of course, like any city, you have shopping; however, there are a multitude of other things to occupy ones time such as museums, beaches, historical landmarks, festivals, churches and temples, and so on.

To start off with, let's begin with the shopping and essentially the places where you are going to want to spend some money. There are tons of places to shop in Mumbai, but the four most famous areas are the Crawford Market, Colaba Causeway, the Chor Bazaar, and the Zaveri Bazaar. When it comes to fresh food, nothing can beat the Crawford Market, where tons of vendors are located selling everything from fruits, vegetables, and meat, to household goods and novelties. The Colaba Causeway is your next stop, which is located in a higher class neighborhood. There are a number of different shops and eateries along the causeway that can occupy just about anybody. Lastly, if flea markets are more your thing, check out the Chor and Zaveri Bazaars where one can find priceless treasures for a bargain, or just about any piece of jewelry.

Museums and galleries are always a high-traffic area in Mumbai, mainly because there are so many of them. If one is into astrology, stars, and planets then journey over to Nehru Centre, where the Nehru Planetarium of Mumbai is headquartered. If art is more interesting, then the Jehangir Art Gallery is always a good choice as there are tons of different contemporary works of art housed within the gallery. Seated right in front of the Jehangir Art Museum is the Prince of Wales Museum where thousands upon thousands of ancient artifacts are housed. Countless museums, yet so little time!

Naturally, the beach is going to be a staple in any visit to Mumbai, especially if you have children. There are several beaches throughout Mumbai all sharing the same star player, the Arabian Sea. However, there is the Chowpatty beach which is the only beach in Central Mumbai. Other than that, you have the Juhu Beach, Madh Island, Marve and Manori Beach, and Versova Beach.

For the religious members of the party, there is a church for just about every denomination. Naturally, Hindu is going to be one of the most followed denominations in Mumbai, but there are also many Islamic followers, Christian followers, and so on and so forth. For the Hindu faith, there is the Siddhivinayak Temple, the Walkeshwar Temple, the Mahalaxmi Temple, etc. For the Christians there is St. Michael's Church, the St. Thomas Cathedral, and Mount Mary Church. Last, but certainly not least, the most popular religious shrine from a Muslim standpoint, is the Haji Ali.

Listed above are just a few of the many things to check out upon visiting Mumbai, it is up to you to go see for yourself, so what are you waiting for?
